NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort’s popular Safari Tents have reopened for stays on the picturesque Central Coast following a refurbishment. The upgraded glamping-style accommodation saw immediate demand when bookings opened on December 21 last year, just in time for the New South Wales summer school holidays.

The revamped Safari Tents now feature private bathrooms, upgraded interior furnishings and décor, refreshed outdoor living areas and updated canvas structures, offering an elevated glamping experience for families and couples seeking a getaway in nature with all the comforts of a holiday resort.

Keen travellers can take advantage of the midweek sale now on, with savings of up to 30 per cent available for NRMA  members for stays from Sunday to Thursday across a range of camping and caravanning sites, villas and cabins, including the new Safari Glamping Tents at NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort. Travellers need to book by March 2, 2026 to reserve their tent.

The glamping accommodation continues to be one of Ocean Beach’s most popular products, adding to the resort’s unique accommodation offering alongside the ‘Glamtainer’, NRMA’s innovative shipping container glamping option.

Located on the New South Wales Central Coast in Umina, NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort provides guests with direct beach access and premium amenities including resort pools, playgrounds, a seven-days-per-week activity program and onsite café, making it an ideal destination for families and couples looking for a relaxing or adventurous coastal escape.

The Safari Tents sleep up to four guests and include access to all resort facilities, with each tent featuring an outdoor deck and relaxation area complete with a barbecue, perfect for enjoying the coastal surroundings.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies said the Safari Tent refurbishment reflected the member organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, memorable holiday experiences for members and guests.

“We are thrilled to reveal our revamped Safari Tents at Ocean Beach Holiday Resort following this refurbishment,” Mr Davies said.

“The immediate demand we saw when bookings opened in December demonstrates just how popular glamping has become with Australian holidaymakers, and we’re committed to ensuring our accommodation offerings continue to meet and exceed guest expectations,” he said.

“These tents offer the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and comfort, allowing families and couples to enjoy a unique coastal experience,” he said.

“The Safari Tents complement our broader portfolio of unique accommodation options at Ocean Beach, including the popular Glamtainer and beachside camping and caravan sites, giving our guests diverse and memorable ways to experience this beautiful Central Coast location.”

Glamping continues to rank among the fastest-growing accommodation segments in Australia, particularly for family and short-break travel, as more Australians seek unique stays that combine nature immersion with modern comforts.
