A World-Class Education

Mr. Ben Taechaubol, CEO of Country Group Development PCL, shared his vision for the project: “Bangkok is fortunate to have a vibrant and sophisticated international school community. Our vision has been to contribute something truly distinctive by offering families in Thailand the opportunity to experience an authentic St Paul’s Girls’ School education here at home. In close partnership with St Paul’s, we are committed to bringing its 120-year tradition of progressive thinking, academic ambition, and deep pastoral care to Bangkok, not as a replica, but as a genuine extension of its ethos.

We are deeply honoured by the trust placed in us by St Paul’s Girls’ School, London. Together, we share the ambition to build a school defined by intellectual curiosity, independence of thought, and strength of character. Above all, we want our students to leave not only academically accomplished, but confident in who they are, grounded in their values, and equipped with the judgement and resilience to thrive in an increasingly complex world.”

Situated within a THB 14.4 billion mixed-use development by Country Group Development PCL on Rama 3 Road, SPGS Bangkok seamlessly integrates elite education into a luxury residential milieu.

Intellectual Vitality and Holistic Excellence

With over 120 years of history, the St Paul’s ethos is built on the belief that learning should be intellectually challenging and deeply meaningful. The classroom experience is designed to be lively and collaborative, encouraging students to debate, question, and explore their passions.

Ms. Liz Hewer, High Mistress of St Paul’s Girls’ School, London, expressed her confidence during the launch: “The opening of SPGS International School Bangkok is an exciting milestone for St Paul’s. Under the leadership of Mr. Leigh O’Hara, parents can be assured that the pedagogy and values here are in total alignment with our London school. We are working in close partnership to ensure students in Bangkok receive the same high-quality experience and opportunities as those in London”.

Mr. Leigh O’Hara, Founding Headmaster of SPGS International School Bangkok who served as Deputy Head and Director of School at the London school for 11 years emphasised the school’s holistic approach: “SPGS International School Bangkok brings the educational ambition and deeply holistic approach that define a St Paul’s education to Thailand. Our broad, future-focused curriculum nurtures creativity, intellectual curiosity and character, while close partnership with local educators and families ensures a learning environment that respects and learns from Thai culture. Together, this delivers an outstanding and relevant British education in Thailand that prepares young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”

The Academic Programme

SPGS International School Bangkok will follow an enhanced English National Curriculum, and the IBDP. The school balances traditional academic rigour with modern technology, featuring its own Centre for Design and Innovation and a broad co-curricular program offering activities across academics, sports, arts, and music.

In keeping with the academic philosophy of St Paul’s Girls’ School, the Bangkok school will also introduce School Directed Courses at Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16). These courses, developed in-house by SPGS London, extend learning beyond standard GCSE courses to encourage deeper understanding and creativity among students. This will be the only school in the world, outside  St Paul’s Girls’ School in London, to deliver these St Paul’s School Directed courses. These will be delivered in Creative Technology, Computer Science, Drama, Music and Art.
