There are incentives, and then there are incentives that actually make agents sit up a little straighter at the desk.

Explore Worldwide’s latest move falls squarely into the second category, offering Australian and New Zealand agents the chance to swap keyboards for Kampot pepper plantations and Tonle Sap waterways, via an eight-day Cambodia famil that rewards those already selling the brand.

The mechanics are refreshingly straightforward. For every Explore Worldwide booking made between 2 February and 15 March 2026, agents earn an entry into the draw. Eleven places are up for grabs, and the more bookings made, the better the odds. No hoops, no gimmicks, just a clear incentive tied directly to performance.

Departing 22 May 2026, the famil itinerary has been custom-built to show agents what Explore does best: small-group travel that leans into culture, community and local connection rather than ticking landmarks at speed.

The program includes a traditional monk blessing, time spent learning about the Smiling Gecko community project, and a hands-on Cambodian cooking class experience designed to give agents stories worth retelling, not just photos for a sales deck. A cruise through the floating villages of Tonle Sap adds perspective to daily life on the lake, while time in Kampot offers insight into one of Cambodia’s quieter success stories, famous for its pepper and easygoing riverside pace.

There’s also an island component built in, reminding agents that Cambodia’s appeal doesn’t stop at temples and townships. Importantly, accommodation throughout the trip will include a selection of Explore’s upgraded stays, giving agents a clear view of how the product has evolved and where it now sits in the small-group adventure market.

According to Explore Worldwide’s Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand, Ben Ittensohn, the value of famils lies in what agents take home beyond the itinerary.

“Famils like this are a powerful way for agents to truly connect with the Explore brand and to better understand what sets Explore apart, from its locally led experiences to its commitment to sustainable and experience-led travel,” Ittensohn said. “Experiencing our trips builds confidence, passion and stronger storytelling, which ultimately benefits both agents and their clients.”

Cambodia was a deliberate choice. Ittensohn pointed to a 130 per cent year-on-year increase in bookings, along with the destination’s contrasts and depth, as reasons it was the right fit for this year’s incentive.

The famil follows on from Explore Worldwide’s inaugural Sri Lanka famil last year, which the company says delivered strong engagement and tangible results once agents returned to selling.

The incentive is open across Explore Worldwide’s full range of small-group adventure trips, reinforcing a message agents understand well: back the brand, and the brand backs you.

Charmaine Lu - Bio PICCharmaine has always carried a quiet kind of courage. She grew up in Shanghai, a city that never slows, yet found her own balance there, studying accounting for discipline and the arts for beauty. She needed both, and she knew it.
When she arrived in Sydney in the 1980s, she brought little more than a degree, a suitcase and the resolve to begin again. The harbour breeze felt like permission. She met Stephen, and together they built a life that bridged two cultures, a family, a home, and plenty of laughter.
Work was never just work. Long before search engines ruled the day, Charmaine was helping businesses be found by telling stories people wanted to read. That remains her quiet gift.
Her life isn’t a résumé. It’s grace under change structure and creativity, held together by a generous heart.
