In an industry increasingly cluttered with webinars, PDFs and well-meaning emails that go unread, Wendy Wu Tours is doing something refreshingly old-school and decidedly effective.
The escorted touring specialist is heading out across Australia this February, rolling into regional centres and capital fringes alike with a series of free, in-person events designed to reconnect travel agents and travellers with the stories, substance and people behind its 2026 touring program.
At the heart of the roadshow is founder Wendy Wu, whose personal journey transforming a single China tour into one of Australia’s most recognisable escorted travel brands remains one of the industry’s quiet success stories. For agents weary of generic sales decks, the chance to hear directly from the woman who built the brand is reason enough to show up.
“These events offer a fantastic opportunity for guests to learn directly from our experts, hear insider perspectives, and ask the questions you don’t often get the chance to,” Wu said, noting that 2026 is shaping up as a defining year for culturally immersive travel.
And she’s not wrong. With demand rebounding strongly for destination-rich, well-structured itineraries, particularly across Asia, Europe and emerging regions, Wendy Wu Tours is leaning into its core strengths: deep destination knowledge, authentic cultural experiences and carefully paced journeys that reward curiosity rather than exhaustion.
For travel agents, the sessions promise practical value. Attendees will receive product updates, destination insights and plain-spoken selling tips from the Wendy Wu Tours team, useful ammunition for client conversations in a market where travellers are better informed, more selective and less forgiving of fluff.
Importantly, the events are open to both agents and consumers, with agents encouraged to bring their clients along. It’s a smart move. Few things convert interest into bookings quite like hearing the story straight from the source, in the same room, without a mute button in sight.
The national schedule spans Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, alongside one online option for those unable to attend in person. All events are free, but places are limited, another reminder that the simplest ideas can be the most effective.
Registrations are now open via the Wendy Wu Tours Events Hub: https://www.wendywutours.com.au/events-hub.
