In other news: Intrepid Travel just won Employer of the Year at the Women in Travel Awards held in Sydney last night.
Here’s what the judges said about us:
Intrepid Travel has proven that equality isn’t a policy – it’s a practice. As the world’s largest adventure travel company and a certified B Corp, Intrepid has embedded gender equity into the fabric of its culture. In the past year, it closed the gender pay gap through a global wage benchmarking project, introduced 10 weeks’ paid parental leave for all parents regardless of gender, and expanded compassionate and pregnancy loss leave. Flexible work models – like 9-day fortnights and work-from-anywhere arrangements – mean women can grow their careers without sacrificing wellbeing or family life.

Leadership pathways are intentionally built: programs like Next Gen, LAMP and Elevate ensure women move from emerging talent to senior leadership, with more than half of participants identifying as female. Intrepid’s employee-led group, Women at Intrepid, amplifies advocacy and belonging across 29 countries. The results speak volumes – 90 per cent of staff feel Intrepid fosters a diverse and inclusive environment, and women now make up 55 per cent of the global workforce. By linking people impact to performance – $626m in turnover and an employee NPS of 64 – Intrepid has shown that empowering women isn’t just good ethics, it’s good business.
