Spain-based Travel Compositor, a leading provider of booking engine solutions for online leisure travel sellers, part of Travelsoft—the global travel software-as-a-service (SaaS) player whose technologies are used by travel agents and tour operators to package and distribute travel—, announces the launch of its innovative Group Engine, a game-changing technological advancement for tour operators, agency networks, DMCs, and consolidators, set to debut at WTM London.

This new solution enables travel professionals to quote and confirm tailor-made group trips — including all the services the client may wish to add, such as buses, guides, hotels, restaurants, activities, and transfers across multiple destinations— and to operate them automatically, from supplier request to confirmation and on-route execution.

With the Group Engine, we bring Travel Compositor’s automation to the most complex area of tourism: tailor-made groups. We’ve moved from fragmented, manual processes to a single digital flow that will save thousands of hours per year and accelerate time-to-quote and time-to-book like never before” says Manuel Aragonés, CEO of Travel Compositor.

Solving the industry’s biggest challenge

Tailor-made group trips involve multiple suppliers, cities, schedules, restrictions, dynamic rooming, and last-minute changes. Until now, most travel companies have relied on spreadsheets, emails, and phone calls. The new Group Engine unifies it all into one seamless system that:

  • Allows price forecasts and group contracts to be uploaded internally or via an extranet by suppliers, or through automated Excel table uploads.
  • Performs multi-service and multi-destination quotations: combining buses, local and tour guides, hotels, restaurants, activities, tickets, transfers, and special services in itineraries that can cover one or several countries, with real-time pricing and availability rules.
  • Automates supplier requests and purchases: the system sends RFQs (requests for quotation) with smart templates, consolidates responses via the supplier extranet, standardizes terms, and suggests the best combination based on price, availability, or contract conditions.
  • Automatic confirmations: issues confirmations, cancellations, or allotment holds according to defined rules, with full traceability of each item and versioned proposals.
  • Integrated operations: live rooming lists, room assignments, allotments, vouchers, and one-click rooming, as well as incident management and last-minute changes with intelligent re-routing.
  • Finance and control: margin tracking by item, management of deposits and penalties, price adjustments by occupancy, approval workflows, and full audit trails.

The Tour Guide App: the group in the palm of your hand

The Group Engine can also be complemented by a mobile app for tour guides, centralizing the day-to-day operations of the trip:

  • Minute-by-minute itinerary, contacts, and documents.
  • Passenger check-in and attendance control.
  • Service details, maps, and meeting points.
  • Optional excursion management, sales, and reporting.
  • Group and individual operational chat.

“The app turns the guide into a true digital orchestrator. Everything stays synchronized — what happens on the route is instantly reflected in the office, reducing errors, calls, and operational costs,”adds Aragonés.

Key benefits for the industry

  • Commercial speed: from days to minutes to deliver competitive, personalized proposals.
  • Massive efficiency: automates repetitive tasks (requests, confirmations, response consolidation, vouchers, rooming) and frees teams to focus on higher-value work.
  • Real scalability: operate more simultaneous groups with the same team.
  • Accuracy and control: full traceability, reduced margin leakage, and greater visibility of P&L per service and trip.
  • Superior experience: clear communication with suppliers and better on-route traveler support.

Setting a new standard for tailor-made group travel

With the Group Engine, Travel Compositor extends its end-to-end automation approach to one of the most manual segments of the travel business. The company expects this launch to boost commercial and operational productivity, improve proposal conversion rates, and shorten the sales cycle in high-volume B2B markets and travel markets.

Availability

The Group Engine will be available to Travel Compositor clients for immediate deployment, with customized plans for each company type and tailored onboarding for potential new clients.
