Carnival Luminosa is officially kicking off her 2025/26 Brisbane season today, marking her fourth summer sailing from the Sunshine State and reaffirming Carnival Cruise Line’s ongoing commitment to Queensland.
Carnival Luminosa will welcome more than 70,000 fun-seeking holidaymakers on 27 voyages between November 2025 and April 2026.
With more than 80 port calls over the season, the 2,500-guest Carnival Luminosa will make nine calls to Airlie Beach, four calls to Cairns and a further three calls to Port Douglas, alongside a range of South Pacific, Papua New Guinea and Fiji voyages.
Sailing alongside sister ship Carnival Encounter, which operates year-round from Brisbane, Carnival Luminosa’s return reinforces the strong demand from Queenslanders for value-packed, easy-to-access cruise holidays showcasing the best of the region and beyond.
Combined, Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Encounter are forecast to carry over 230,000 guests from Brisbane in 2025, with Carnival Cruise Line’s four-ship fleet collectively expected to contribute almost $800 million to the Queensland economy.
Guests can choose from a diverse range of itineraries, including:
- Ten 2–3-day Getaway cruises — perfect for first-time cruisers or a quick break at sea.
- Five 4-day Airlie Beach voyages.
- Four 6-7-day Great Barrier Reef sailings calling at Airlie Beach, Cairns, and Port Douglas.
- Seven 7-8-day South Pacific adventures visiting Mystery Island, Lifou, and Noumea.
- One 11-day Papua New Guinea voyage calling to Alotau, Conflict Islands, Rabaul, and Kiriwina.
- One 11-day Fiji and South Pacific itinerary calling to Santo, Port Vila, Lautoka, Dravuni, and Noumea.
