PONANT EXPLORATIONS invites travellers to embark on an unforgettable 11-day expedition voyage along the wild and remote Kimberley coastline in the company of one of Australia’s most inspiring changemakers, Ronni Kahn AO aboard Le Jacques-Cartier.
As the Founder of OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, Ronni has dedicated her life to fighting food waste, tackling food insecurity, and nourishing vulnerable communities. On this exclusive sailing, she will join as Visionary in Residence, sharing her remarkable story of purpose, sustainability, and community impact with guests onboard in dedicated talks and activities. Recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia and celebrated as Australian Local Hero of the Year, Ronni’s journey has been captured in the documentary Food Fighter and her ABIA-nominated biography A Repurposed Life. Guests will have the unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, gain behind-the-scenes insights into food sustainability, and discover how they too can help create lasting change in their own communities.

“Travel has the power to inspire change, and this unique Kimberley expedition is a chance to connect with a deeper purpose. Sailing alongside OZ Harvest Founder, Ronni Kahn, guests will not only witness one of the world’s last great wildernesses but also be part of a journey that supports sustainability, education, and community impact.’ says Deb Corbett, PONANT EXPLORATIONS, CEO Asia Pacific. “We are proud to partner with this leading organisation to create meaningful change, both onboard and ashore.” She concludes.

A Partnership with Purpose
This special Kimberley sailing also shines a light on the three-year partnership between PONANT EXPLORATIONS and OzHarvest, supporting food relief and education programs in the Northern Territory. Each week, OzHarvest NT delivers around 350kg of nutritious food hampers to communities in Jabiru and Marlkawo, while the FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) program empowers school students to tackle food waste and embrace healthy eating. Through this collaboration, PONANT EXPLORATIONS and OzHarvest are helping to feed communities, inspire future changemakers, and fight food waste where it matters most.
