EXO Foundation, the non-profit branch of EXO Travel, hosted its third annual Sustainability Awards on 1st October 2025. With prizes totalling over $60,000 USD in value, the awards aim to identify, support and promote pioneering projects driving sustainable tourism innovation in Asia.
From over 70 applicants, a panel of international sustainability tourism experts evaluated and selected sixteen winners in two categories: Planet—highlighting efforts to advance climate action, foster a circular economy and regenerate nature, and People—celebrating initiatives that empower communities and protect cultural heritage.
In addition, the People’s Choice Award, decided through a month-long public vote, was presented to No-Trash Triangle Initiative in the Planet category and Akha Ma-De in the People category.
Following the virtual awards ceremony, EXO Foundation held a panel discussion titled
‘The Tourism Challenge – From Footprint to Funding: How Tourism Can Tackle Carbon from the Ground Up’.
