As we enter another busy month for golf, Speyside distiller Glen Moray looks forward to the continuation of its partnership with ISPS Handa Senior Open Championship, Europe’s only senior major, through 2026.
The collaboration celebrates the shared values of tradition, excellence, and global appeal that unite whisky and golf, both steeped in history and craftsmanship. Glen Moray initially signed a partnership deal with the prestigious company in 2024, bringing together Scotland’s national spirit and sport.
With 24,000 spectators gathering at Sunningdale for a festival of world-class golf, the ISPS Handa 2025 Senior Open Championship brought together luminaries of the game aged 50 and over, as part of the Legends Tour.
Glen Moray brought a taste of Speyside to the fairways with an elevated whisky experience in the Championship Village, featuring its award-winning single malts – including expressions from the Explorer, Heritage, Xperience, and Warehouse 1 collections – alongside a new highball menu that delighted guests.

Glen Moray’s presence at the event included tastings, hospitality and a popular chipping challenge, inviting spectators to explore whisky in new and unexpected ways – all while soaking in the atmosphere of one of senior golf’s most prestigious tournaments.
This year also marked the debut of A Classic Round with…, a new Glen Moray film series highlighting the figures behind the sport. The first episode sees Iain Allan in conversation with Sunningdale’s legendary caddie Rorrie Brown, whose stories of dedication and intuition echo the quiet mastery behind Glen Moray’s craft.
The Elgin distiller also partnered with Mario S. Tiziani, an American professional golfer who played at the Senior Open on a further episode of A Classic Round with…, exploring the connections between golf and whisky. There are further videos lined up in this series showcasing the heritage between the national sport and drink of Scotland.
