K by Vicky Cheng, the stylish and contemporary Chinese dining destination perched on the 56th floor of The Empire Tower in the heart of Bangkok, reveals a new limited-time promotion that will give diners the chance to savor one of Asia’s most sought-after seasonal ingredients: hairy crab.

Native to the lakes and estuaries of Eastern China, this succulent shellfish is a popular autumnal delicacy, prized for the sweetness of its meat, its creamy golden roe, and a natural umami flavor which sets it apart from other crabs. Hairy crabs are also highly nutritious; rich in protein, calcium, iron, and zinc, they can help to maintain bone health and build a strong immune system.

The culinary maestros at K by Vicky Cheng have hand-selected the finest hairy crabs from Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, which is famed for its clear, mineral-rich waters that produce some of the world’s best hairy crabs.

Guests can choose from two traditional styles: Steamed Hairy Crab (starting from THB 1,980 per 250g), which showcases the clean, naturally sweet taste of the shellfish, or Drunken Hairy Crab (starting from THB 1,380 per 125g, or THB 2,280 per 250g), which is cooked in the chef’s own blend of vegetable broth, Chinese spices, Wu Chia Pi Chiew wine, Shaoxing wine, and Chinese wine pickle to create a wonderfully fragrant and flavorful dish.

Drunken Hairy Crab
