Carnival Cruise Line has reimagined the traditional famil, inviting 12 travel agents across Australia and New Zealand to bring their loved ones along for an exclusive “Family Famil” aboard Carnival Adventure.

Sailing on Carnival Adventure from Sydney to the South Pacific in August, the famil gave agents the opportunity to experience Carnival through the same lens as their customers – as a fun, family-friendly holiday. Hosted by Sarah Miller (Key Account Manager) and Julie Boustani (Trade Engagement), the program blended professional insights with personal experiences.

Highlights included a decadent Chocolate Melting Cake masterclass with the ship’s chef, a behind-the-scenes Q&A with the Entertainment and Cruise Directors revealing how Carnival brings its signature fun to life, and immersive shore excursions such as a guided tour of Noumea, snorkelling and beach time in Mystery Island, and a visit to Port Vila.Carnival Cruise Line Family FAMIL - Delicious Chocolate Melting Cake demo by chef

Mark Richards, National Sales Manager at Carnival, said the new format was designed to strengthen partnerships by putting family at the centre of the experience:

“This was not just a famil, it was a chance for our trade partners to put family at the heart of the experience. We know the important role families play in supporting our travel professionals, and we wanted to give our valued agents the opportunity to experience Carnival the way their customers do – with their loved ones by their side.”

The initiative highlights Carnival’s fresh approach to trade engagement, setting the brand apart by recognising that a cruise holiday is about bringing people together to create lasting memories. With this new take on the famil format, Carnival reinforced its position as the cruise line that truly knows how to bring the fun – for agents, their customers, and their families.

Attendees on the Family Famil included:
Matthew Whitehead (Barrow and Bear), Samantha Baohm (Envoyage), Trisha “Leanne” Flett (Let’s Cruise NZ), Aaron Marr (Helloworld Coffs Harbour), Laura Crawford (Flight Centre Lavington), Olivia Brown (Flight Centre Charlestown), Elouise Corban (Helloworld Morisset), Joanne Rea (Clean Cruising), Brie Hargans (Flight Centre Picton), Zully Sepulveda Morales (RACQ Helensvale), Jessica Cranmer (I Love Cruising), and Kym Nulty (Flight Centre Plenty Valley).
