NRMA Parks and Resorts has partnered with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) on its just-launched campaign aimed at boosting Queensland’s domestic road trip market, with a focus on the iconic Pacific Coast Way, fondly known as ‘Australia’s Holiday Highway’.
TEQ’s new campaign builds on the holiday highway in its brand positioning with the tagline, “Drive that holiday feeling”.
Queensland’s Minister for the Environment and Tourism and Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell MP launched TEQ’s new campaign at a special Stand Up media and industry event on Friday August 22, where TEQ Chief Executive Officer Craig Davison and NRMA Parks and Resorts General Manager Marketing and Sales Janelle Boyd were in attendance.
Leveraging its 3.4-million-strong member base, NRMA will aim to elevate the Queensland road trip experience in travellers’ minds and position Queensland as a must-do journey for interstate as well as local travellers. NRMA Parks and Resorts provides a wide range of accommodation options – from beachfront caravan sites to nature-immersed beach villas – to suit every style of road trip traveller.
As part of the partnership, NRMA Parks and Resorts will soon launch a special offer to encourage travellers to visit holiday parks dotted along the Pacific Coast Way, stretching from the Gold Coast to Palm Cove, north of Cairns.

NRMA Parks and Resorts Chief Executive Officer Paul Davies said the member organisation was proud to partner with TEQ on its new, statewide drive campaign.
“We’re especially keen to see travellers explore more of this great state of Queensland, and with NRMA’s portfolio of 12 parks to choose from, there are so many ways to take a road trip with a quality, safe and trusted base at the end of each day,” Mr Davies said.
“We’ll be pleased to promote the campaign message through NRMA’s more-than-three-million-member database and will combine it with a multi-stay offer for travellers and members starting from September 22 this year,” he said.
“Our partnership with TEQ for this campaign speaks to NRMA’s commitment to inspiring road travel, rewarding members along their journey, and taking people further.”
