Mobile Travel Agents is thrilled to have landed multiple nominations at the 2025 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs), celebrating both its people and programs. Five of MTA’s advisors have been named finalists for Mobile/Home Based Travel Advisor, while the business itself is recognised in two major categories: Most Outstanding Mobile Advisor Network and, for the first time, Most Outstanding Travel Industry Training Program.
Now in its 25th year, MTA has made training a cornerstone of its business and the results speak for themselves. In 2025, 148 advisors registered for the company’s pre-conference training program, averaging more than seven sessions each. The in-house accreditation platform, MTA Professional Plus, now features 11 pathways and over 480 learning components, designed to be flexible, relevant and immediately applicable.
With the nominations setting the stage for a celebratory conference this week, Don Beattie, CEO of MTA, said how proud he was to be recognised in what has already been a milestone year for the business.
“Our advisors demonstrate time and time again that they are the best in the business, and these nominations are testament to that,” said Beattie.
“We’ve invested heavily in building training that’s practical and designed to drive real business outcomes. In the last 12 months, 80% of our advisors have transitioned to a fee-for-service model, and we’ve seen exceptional engagement, with more than 100 advisors taking part in regional innovation sessions and strong uptake across our professional development pathways.
“It’s a proud moment, and the perfect way to kick off our 25th anniversary conference.”
MTA’s annual conference kicks off tomorrow, with 420 advisors and industry partners in attendance. Aptly titled ‘Milestones and Momentum’, the five-day event will feature keynote speakers Grant Hackett and Emma Harris, professional development and celebrations. Supported by major sponsor Business Events Adelaide, the conference has been designed to inspire and educate advisors and suppliers as they prepare for the next era of travel.
