This June, abc kitchens at The Emory, will bring Manhattan’s much loved mid-morning ritual to Belgravia with a New York–inspired brunch by world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten for the very first time. A longtime icon of the American dining scene, Jean-Georges will unveil a menu of his favourite morning dishes, offering Londoners a vibrant, seasonal, produce-led menu throughout the weekend with views of Hyde Park.
At the heart of the brunch menu is the B.E.C. pizza; a unique take on the beloved duo of bacon and egg, brought to life in a pizza with the addition of three melted cheeses including Gruyère, Fontina and local Mozzarella from La Latteria – the perfect centerpiece to share with friends. An Avocado pizza will also feature with jalapeno, coriander and lime, an abc kitchens take on the classic avocado on toast. Alternatively opt for Huevos rancheros featuring Cacklebean farm eggs served on warm and fresh corn tortillas, a Mexican classic taken from New York’s celebrated menu at abc cocina.
Curated with abc kitchens’ Executive Chef Ben Boeynaems, the brunch menu is available until 4.30pm with highlights including Cardamom Dutch baby pancakes drizzled in maple syrup and French toast topped with fresh strawberries and warm maple syrup. Those who prefer something savoury can tuck into all-time favourites such as Eggs Benedict with Suffolk ham served on an English muffin; or a Dosa filled with egg, sambal, cheddar cheese, dill and mint.
Onto the drinks, and there is no better way to celebrate sun-filled days off with a trio of Margaritas, including Basil Jalapeño, Ginger and Strawberry – whilst sparkling sips like a Raspberry Lychee Bellini or the classic Mimosa offer a refreshing way to toast the weekend. And of course, no brunch menu would be complete without a Bloody Mary – choose from the classic version, a bold Bloody Maria with Mijenta Blanco tequila, or the Virgin Mary made with Seedlip Garden for a non-alcoholic alternative.
abc kitchens is the exclusive UK restaurant of Vongerichten’s celebrated trilogy from New York – abc kitchen, abcV and abc cocina – all sitting under one roof for the very first time. The interiors have been designed by the renowned Rémi Tessier and play on the progressive architectural spirit of the building. Rich and high-quality materials meet comfortable furnishings to complement the striking glass façade of the building which overlooks Hyde Park, with a dining space that feels both fresh and familiar. Warm wood tones and a colossal Rosso Orobico marble block set the stage for a memorable dining experience, while a 12-metre snaking couch adds a statement feature. Guests can dine amongst a series of artworks called ‘The Secret Gardens Paintings’ by Damien Hirst, adding vibrant colour to the overall decoration.
Brunch at abc kitchens will be available from 28th June served between 12.30pm-4.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
