Vietjet is accelerating its Asia-Pacific growth with the addition of a new Airbus A321neo ACF aircraft and the launch of two direct routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Nagoya and Fukuoka in Japan – offering Australians even more convenient options to explore Asia.

Fleet and flight network expansion

The airline’s latest aircraft is part of Vietjet’s strategy to continue building connections between Australia, Vietnam and Asia. Set to be deployed during Vietnam’s second-largest national holiday period this week, the new addition boosts Vietjet’s capacity to meet the surge in travel demand.  Featuring a modern cabin layout and increased seat comfort, the new-generation A321neo ACF offers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, and a 50% cut in noise pollution compared to previous models — supporting Vietjet’s commitment to sustainable growth.

At the same time, Vietjet has strengthened its international network with the successful launch of two new direct services between Vietnam and Japan linking Ho Chi Minh City to Nagoya and Fukuoka, now offering four and thrice weekly round-trip flights, respectively. Both inaugural flights were welcomed with water salutes upon landing at the Japanese airports and commemorative celebrations.

Through these expansions, Vietjet is further positioning Vietnam as a gateway to Asia for Australians, now offering:

  • Four new services from Vietnam to Beijing and Guangzhou in China
  • New services to India
  • The upcoming launch of Phu Quoc–Singapore route.

Australians can now take advantage of greater flexibility and affordability, with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth to Ho Chi Minh City and/or Hanoi, and onward connections to Vietjet’s extensive domestic and international network, covering destinations such as Bali, Jakarta, Beijing, and Guangzhou and many more.
