PONANT EXPLORATIONS Director of Sales APAC, recently hosted a select group of valued trade partners on a truly unforgettable journey through Indonesia. The group sailed the ‘Sacred Temples and Natural Sanctuaries’ itinerary from Singapore to Darwin aboard the newly refurbished m/s Paul Gauguin operated by sister brand, Paul Gauguin Cruises.

Coinciding with the ship’s return to service on 1 April following a seven-week, multi-million dollar drydock in Singapore, this 13-night famil offered a unique opportunity to experience both the vessel’s elegant transformation and the cultural richness of the Java and Timor Seas.

Trade partners from across the APAC region – including Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore – were treated to a thoughtfully curated program that blended exclusive access to the ship’s refreshed features with immersive local encounters. Highlights included a visit to the magnificent Borobudur Temple, a traditional dance welcome in Surabaya and even a Tahitian dance class with the onboard performers.

The m/s Paul Gauguin’s refurbishment features a contemporary redesign of Le Grill restaurant, a serene pool deck with shaded cabanas, new connecting staterooms, updated soft furnishings and enhanced sustainable technologies, all of which were enjoyed firsthand by our guests.

This famil celebrated the ship’s revitalised offering and underscored PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ dedication to intimate, culturally enriching voyages across the Asia-Pacific region.

The m/s Paul Gauguin will make a 24-hour call in Darwin on Monday 14 April before continuing her journey back to French Polynesia.
