Sedona has been recognized as one of the premier small-town destinations in the western United States, placing sixth in USA Today’s prestigious “10 Best Small Towns in the West 2025” rankings.
The annual list, which highlights exceptional small towns throughout the western region, evaluated destinations based on their natural beauty, cultural offerings, visitor amenities and overall appeal.

Sedona joined an impressive roster of destinations, with Solvang, Calif., taking the top spot, followed by Astoria, Ore., Healdsburg, Calif., Cody, Wyo., and Grants, N.M., rounding out the top five. Bigfork, Mont., Breckenridge, Colo., Jackson, Wyo., and Moab, Utah completed the list.
Known for its striking red rock formations, vibrant arts scene and spiritual significance, Sedona continues to draw visitors seeking both adventure and tranquility in Arizona’s high desert.
