Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai - LogoThe 2025 World Expo will unfold 184 days from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the picturesque Yumeshima Island in Osaka Bay. Celebrating 55 years since Japan’s first Expo in 1970, it expects to attract about 28.2 million visitors. The theme, “Designing the Future Society for Our Lives,” aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, embracing a vision of societal integration with technology.

Visitors to Expo 2025 can easily reach Yumeshima Island through various transportation options, including trains, bicycles, buses, boats, and cars, ensuring a seamless travel experience for everyone.

By Train: The direct connection to Yumeshima Station via the Osaka Metro Chuo Line facilitates convenient access to the Expo site. This line carries numerous passengers, making it a reliable choice for city dwellers and tourists.

By Bicycle: Bicyclists can park at Yumeshima, where reservations are required, or at Sakishima near Cosmosquare Station, which offers free parking without prior booking. The Yumeshima parking lot accommodates 600 bikes and charges a modest fee.

(A) By Shuttle Bus from JR Sakurajima Station: Visitors can take a direct shuttle from Sakurajima Station, which is ideal for those arriving via the Shinkansen or airports. Reservations for wheelchairs or strollers can be made via the KANSAI MaaS App, offering extra convenience for families or those requiring assistance.

(B) By Shuttle Bus from Nearby Major Stations: A dedicated shuttle service will run from major Kansai stations directly to the Expo entrance. All reservations will be taken in advance, enhancing comfort during travel.

By Boat: As the first Expo to land amidst the sea, arriving by water is particularly scenic. Visitors can take a ferry to North Yumeshima Floating Piers, followed by a brief local shuttle bus transfer to the West Gate of the Expo.

By Car or Motorcycle (Using Park & Ride Lots): While private vehicles cannot enter the Expo site, visitors can park at designated lots further afield and take shuttle buses to the entrance. Reservations, made at least a day ahead, are necessary to access these facilities.
