From humble beginnings to a national success story, Yeppoon’s very own Keppel Eats celebrates 39 years in business, proving that nothing beats their deliciously fun, value-added meats!

Located on the Capricorn Coast in Central Queensland, proud second-generation family business, Keppel Eats continues to grow, now boasting 50 dedicated team members and an ever-expanding range of 12 value-added products that Aussies just can’t get enough of.

The business, originally known as Keppel Brand, was founded with a vision to bring high-quality, convenient food options to the masses.

A decade ago, Kelly Newton and Mark Davie swapped corporate life for the family legacy, returning to Central Queensland with a passion for producing Aussie-made, quality meats and smallgoods.

Today, Keppel Eats is the largest manufacturer on the Capricorn Coast, proudly crafting crumbed sausages and steaks, battered savs, and seafood sticks that make every bite a celebration.

Operating out of a HACCP-certified Yeppoon facility, Keppel Eats has become a trusted name among some of Australia’s biggest food retailers, major service station groups and events as well as supplying thousands of independent food businesses across the country.

“Keppel Eats is more than just a business – it’s our way of sharing the laid-back, fun-loving Aussie lifestyle through food,” said Kelly.

“We love being part of the Capricorn Coast, and we’re incredibly proud to see our products enjoyed by people all over Australia.”

“As a family business, we wake up every day thinking about how we can improve our community—both through what we do as a company and how we contribute as a family,” Kelly added.

“We take pride in creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, and giving back to the place that has given us so much.”

From a festival snack to a road trip essential, Keppel Eats has mastered the art of ‘grab and go’ convenience food, ensuring every Keppel Dog, crumbed sausage, battered sav, or Cattlemen’s crumbed steak is crispy, hearty, and full of flavour.

Mary Carroll, CEO of Capricorn Enterprise, highlighted how the Capricorn Coast continues to lead the way in Australian food production.

“Our region is known as the biggest pineapple supplier in the country, we are the Beef Capital of Australia, and with Keppel Eats, we’re home to one of the biggest names in value-added meats,” Mary said.

“It’s incredible to see a local business taking a slice of the national market while staying true to its roots here on the Capricorn Coast.”

And the story doesn’t stop here. Keppel Eats is gearing up for its next big move with the expansion of their Keppel Dogs and Cattlemen’s brands, which promises to bring even more premium, value-added meat products to market. Watch this space!

So, let’s raise a Keppel Dog high, dunk it in tomato sauce, and celebrate Keppel Eats – the taste of Australia, made right here on the Capricorn Coast!
