The Gympie Music Muster has unveiled its final lineup for 2025, adding 41 artists to the 58 already announced, promising another unforgettable celebration of country, rock, and blues.
With a blend of returning favourites, fresh faces, and international talent, this year’s lineup sees the inclusion of Canada’s Alli Walker and Dan Davidson, New Zealand’s Kaylee Bell, and homegrown stars Casey Barnes, James Johnston, Travis Collins, Hayley Jensen, The Bushwackers, and Zac & George.
James Johnston, whose performance on the Optus Hill Stage in 2024 was a festival highlight, is eager to return.
“Being invited to come back and play on the hill again this year is such an honour,” he said.
“For me, the Gympie Music Muster represents everything I love about country music and the country community; it feels like a big family gathering. I love the fact I can bring my wife and two boys, and truly be a part of it with everyone there.
“This year I’m going to be taking things to another level and putting on a show that Gympie has never seen before! In a world that feels increasingly divided, my goal is to create a show that celebrates the heart of country music and unites us all. I can’t wait to see everyone out there singing with me.”
New Zealand singer-songwriter, but an artist we’ve adopted as one of our own, Kaylee Bell, is equally excited to be returning to the Amamoor State Forest for one of her favourite festivals.
“I am so, so excited to be coming back to the Gympie Muster,” she said.
“Gympie is one of my favourite festivals, and always has been, so we will see you guys on the hill in August – we are going to have a fun time.”
Canadian country artist Dan Davidson, a favourite among Australian audiences, is looking forward to returning after his 2023 Muster appearance.
“Australia truly has become my country music home away from home,” he said. “Nobody parties like the Aussies do! I can’t wait to get back to my second Gympie Muster, and my fourth trip to Australia in three years. It will be so great to see some of my Aussie artist friends, and hopefully a tonne of familiar faces that have seen my show before. See ya in August!”
Gympie Music Muster Program Director Bec Anderson highlighted the festival’s diverse offering this year.
“The Gympie Music Muster has always been about showcasing the best in country, rock, blues, and everything in between,” she said. “With 41 more incredible artists joining the lineup, we’re bringing together a mix of legendary performers, exciting newcomers, and some international surprises. There’s something for every music lover at Muster, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it all.”
Gympie Music Muster CEO Greg Cavanagh reinforced the festival’s reputation as a premier Australian event.
“The Muster is more than just a festival; it’s an institution in Australian country music,” he said. “Each year, we strive to deliver an experience that is both world-class and deeply connected to the heart of the country music community. This year’s lineup reflects our commitment to presenting the best of Australian and international talent, and we’re proud to continue this legacy.”
The final artist announcement adds even more excitement to an already stacked bill, featuring:
