The villa is owned by the Scottish McKinlay family, who also founded Domaine de Mourchon, an organic winery nearby in the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape region. Established in 1998 on a terraced hillside vineyard, the estate lacked winemaking facilities, leading to the construction of a state-of-the-art gravity-flow winery, completed in 2000. Today, it produces 150,000 bottles annually, combining modern technology with the region’s rich winemaking traditions.

Next door, Château Constantin’s ancient vines are said to trace back to Emperor Constantine. Since acquiring the estate in 2016, Anne Marie, Daniel, and their two daughters have revitalised it. Originally from Marseille, the family, with a background in fruit production, implemented sustainable farming and converted the estate to organic, achieving their first organic-certified harvest in 2020.
