Destination South Australia (DSA), the State’s biggest annual business events showcase organised by Business Events Adelaide, begins today.
More than 50 highly qualified business event decision makers and media will join a fully hosted program demonstrating the very best of South Australian ingenuity and hospitality. Guests will visit business event venues and hotels in the city, as well as joining a famil of either the Barossa Valley or Adelaide Hills
Thursday’s tradeshow – which includes scheduled appointments with Business Event Adelaide member exhibitors – is an opportunity for event organisers to meet local industry leaders and learn why Adelaide is Australia’s leading business event destination.
In a first for the event, interstate guests will be joined by a delegation of Indian corporate incentive agents. They will enjoy a separate famil and educational program, with the two groups coming together for showpiece occasions at Adelaide Oval and Morphettville
Business Event Adelaide Chief Executive Officer Damien Kitto says the Indian delegation adds another dimension to the ever-popular Destination SA. “The opportunity to host both groups concurrently means that we are able to provide more value to our members,” he said. “DSA exhibitor spots sold out very quickly, such is their popularity amongst our members, and we have responded by making this DSA our biggest yet. Having such a large and diverse group of guests this year means that more members will be engaged than ever before.”
DSA is the high point of Business Event Adelaide’s calendar, responsible for attracting more than $40 million of future business to SA, and Mr Kitto says the team are ready to showcase the city and regions. “DSA is a great time to demonstrate the ‘Team Adelaide’ approach that we are renowned for,” he continued. “Our guests are about to see for themselves the experiential, cultural and economic advantages of choosing Adelaide for their future business events.”
Destination SA’s Showcase Exhibition will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Thursday 20 March from 9am. Media attendance is welcome
