Global travel app Skyscanner has today launched a brand-new feature to help Aussies find the best deals and save up to thousands with their 2025 travels.

Exclusive to the Skyscanner app, DROPS provides Aussies with deals as they happen. Simply log in to the Skyscanner app, to have access to new DROPS every day – a collection of flights from a nearby airport that have dropped in price by at least 20% that day (compared to the last seven days).

With Skyscanner relentlessly on the hunt for DROPS across the globe, travellers can feel confident they’ll never miss a deal again.

Just In Skyscanner Drops Feature To Save Aussies Up To Thousands

To celebrate the launch of the DROPS feature, Skyscanner’s data gurus have crunched the numbers to share their top DROPS insights (based on all DROPS served to Australian travellers in January 2025):

  • Tuesday was the most popular ‘DROPS’ day Helping Aussie travellers get through the working week, Skyscanner has highlighted the most DROPS on Tuesday this January*.
  • Early birds catch the most DROPS

38% of all DROPS were published before the workday even started (pre-9am) in January**.

  • Bali, Indonesia tops the ‘Most Dropped Destinations’ list
