The Famous Berry Donut Van, a cherished icon of the South Coast, is turning National ‘Love Your Pet Day’ on February 20th into a celebration of generosity and community spirit. Known for its irresistible, made-to-order donuts, the van is taking its love for animals to heart by donating a portion of their donut sales on the day to ‘Homeward Bound Hounds’, a local organisation dedicated to rehoming retired racing greyhounds.Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice!
On February 20th, every donut sold will help make a difference in the lives of surrendered greyhounds, providing the care and support they need to find loving, forever homes. This initiative is a heartfelt effort to give back and raise awareness for these gentle dogs.
“We’re thrilled to dedicate ‘Love Your Pet Day’ to such an important cause,” says Teresa Nazareth, Owner of the Berry Donut Van. “Our customers have always been passionate about supporting our community efforts and knowing that every single donut purchase on February 20th goes directly to helping greyhounds in need makes it all the more meaningful.”
A Sweet Way to Support a Worthy Cause
In addition to donating proceeds on Love Your Pet Day, the Berry Donut Van will continue its commitment to the cause year-round by keeping a donation box on-site, allowing visitors to contribute at any time. Every dollar raised helps ‘Homeward Bound Hounds’ rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome greyhounds, giving these animals the second chance they deserve.
