This strategic move sees the Schwartz Family Company (SFC) acquiring a majority stake in Sydney Seaplanes, with full ownership expected by mid-year.

The acquisition also includes the Rose Bay waterfront headquarters and its exclusive adjoining venue, the Empire Lounge, which is undergoing a rebrand as the Sydney Seaplanes Lounge—set to become one of the most sought-after lifestyle destinations in the city.

Under Dr Schwartz’s stewardship, Sydney Seaplanes is poised for an ambitious expansion. The current fleet of three aircraft—comprising two Amphibious Cessna Caravans and a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver—will soon grow to four, with plans to introduce a fifth seaplane by year’s end. The additional aircraft, a DHC-2 Beaver owned by Schwartz, is currently fitted with amphibious floats to integrate into the fleet seamlessly.
