The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) celebrated an announcement today from United Airlines detailing plans to launch nonstop service from SFO to Panama City, Panama for the first time ever starting May 22, 2025. The Airport’s largest airline plans to offer daily year-round service, operated using Boeing 737 aircraft. United will be the only U.S. carrier with service to Panama City from SFO.

“We are very excited to welcome nonstop United Airlines flights from SFO to Panama in 2025,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “This latest service represents United’s ninth Latin destination from SFO, and their fourth to Central America.  We thank United for their continued commitment to SFO, and we are confident this new service will be a success.”

United previously announced nonstop flights from SFO to Monterrey, Mexico as of October 2024, Belize starting December 21, 2024, and San Jose, Costa Rica starting May 22, 2025.
