There are No Brakes on The Wolfe Brothers’ career and now the Gympie Music Muster’s Damn Good Mates have been announced as the 2025 Ambassadors.
They’re already festival favourites and champions of Australian country music, and they’re delighted to add Muster Ambassadors to their growing list of accolades.
Since their debut at the Muster in 2014, The Wolfe Brothers have become one of the country’s most celebrated country rock bands. They always bring full throttle performances to the Hill Stage with Tasmanian brothers Nick and Tom Wolfe having performed at five Musters, building a deep connection with the festival’s community and fans over the years.
“When we were asked if we would be ambassadors, we jumped at it because we know the vibe, the great stages, the great atmosphere and it all makes a lot of sense to us,” Tom said.
“As ambassadors, we can add to that. Nick and I will camp on site and, being ambassadors, we get to spend more time with the punters, go out to the camps, be at a few more events, get to see gigs and we are really looking forward to that.”
Tom said he and Nick were talking about going out to a campsite to play while they were at Muster because “that’s the most fun you have at the festival”.
“We really want to represent this festival and country music in a positive light,” he said.
“Country is cool… it’s always been cool, but it’s cool again and it’s such a diverse genre with a lot of different genres within it. Looking at the line-up, there is a lot of different variety of musical genres: you can go to the Boss Hire Blues Tent, and then go to the Bundy Crowbar and see a party country show and the Hill Stage and there’s something completely different again.”
Gympie Music Muster Program Director Bec Anderson said selecting The Wolfe Brothers as the 2025 Muster Ambassadors was an easy decision for the team.
“It’s been just over 10 years since they first stepped foot on the Muster stages, and it just gets better every time they do,” she said.
“Our audiences love them as much as we do, and we think without a doubt, the guys really embody the spirit and energy of our festival.
“They are big on family values and the importance of mateship, and we know this resonates with our Muster Mates, so we are absolutely thrilled to have them as our ambassadors in 2025.”
