This state-of-the-art vessel accommodates 184 guests in 92 luxurious staterooms and suites, served by 118 crew members. Designed for intimate explorations, the ship offers amenities such as two fine dining restaurants and the immersive Blue Eye Lounge, where guests can sip cocktails while marvelling at underwater marine life.

Local tourism operator Renae Poot from Esperance Farm Experience has meticulously curated activities for the 95 passengers expected to disembark. Visitors can opt for a hop-on, hop-off shuttle exploring the town’s highlights, a guided tour featuring a walk along the pristine Twilight Beach, and a visit to the iconic Stonehenge replica.
“It has been a privilege to collaborate with local businesses and tourism colleagues to provide an action-packed itinerary,” Poot said. “We aim to present a snapshot of Esperance’s offerings, enticing visitors to book a longer return stay.”
The itinerary includes collaborations with local gems such as Dabungool Cultural Tours, Yirri Grove, Lucky Bay Brewery, New Moon Coffee, and Esperance Distillery, ensuring passengers experience the region’s rich culture and flavours.
Launching Esperance’s 2024-25 Cruise Season
Le Jacques Cartier’s visit kicks off Esperance’s 2024-25 cruise season, which is set to welcome six more vessels by May 2025. These include renowned expedition ships such as True North II, Coral Adventurer, and Silver Nova. While the arrival of Azamara Pursuit was cancelled due to logistical challenges, Esperance is positioning itself as a destination that thrives on hosting smaller luxury ships that align with its infrastructure and community character.
Annabelle Hender, Esperance Tourism Development Manager, highlighted the significance of these visits. “PONANT attracts discerning travelers seeking authentic experiences, which align perfectly with Esperance’s offerings. These visits not only boost our local economy but also help preserve our town’s charm.”

Featuring hop-on, hop-off buses, live music, bustling markets, and even a fashion parade, this program aims to enrich visitor experiences while boosting retail engagement and community vibrancy.
