Founded in Australia 38 years ago, Scenic is the leader in ultra-luxury all-inclusive river cruises and ocean voyages, and handcrafted luxury land journeys. In 1992, the company marked a significant milestone by introducing New Zealand as its first overseas destination, the beginning of its global expansion. Over the past three decades, Scenic has welcomed more than 33,000 guests to New Zealand, highlighting the destination’s enduring appeal and its importance in the company’s worldwide collection.
Liz Crowley, Scenic Journey Designer for New Zealand, Australia and Africa said “New Zealand has long been a favourite destination for Scenic’s luxury travellers and we’re proud to have shared its extraordinary natural beauty and rich cultural heritage with our guests over the past 30 years. We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated partners, many of whom have been with us throughout this journey, for their ongoing support and the remarkable achievements we’ve made together”.
For the upcoming 2025/2026 season, Scenic has four exclusive land journeys that explore the North and South Islands of New Zealand, ranging from 12 to 24 days. Each carefully crafted, smaller-group escorted tour includes exceptional Scenic Enrich events, unique Scenic Special Stays, and a variety of Scenic Freechoice excursions, allowing guests to tailor their experience.
Katherine O’Neill, Scenic’s Director of Global Marketing Strategy, said: “We’re excited to introduce Scenic Eclipse II to the region for its inaugural deployment which commenced in November 2024 through to March 2025, with additional voyages scheduled for 2025/2026.
