More than 32,000 punk, rock and metal fans are expected to descend on the Brisbane Showgrounds this Sunday for Good Things festival.

Australia’s largest travelling music festival will feature many international heavyweights as part of its 30 strong line-up, including everyone’s favourite American metal band Korn who have two Grammy Awards under their belts, plus 40 million records sold worldwide.

Other international acts taking to the stage are popular Canadian rockers Sum 41 for their last ever performance in Australia and American punk band Violent Femmes who have been festival staples throughout their 40-year career.

Australian rock band Killing Heidi is among the local artists to be featured and will perform their debut album Reflector in full for attendees.

Good Things has been coming to the Brisbane Showgrounds since its inception in 2018, with the river city last on the festival’s 2024 national tour list.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said they were looking forward to a successful summer music festival season.

“More than 120,000 people are expected to attend music festivals at the Showgrounds this season, with 24,000 already turning up for Listen Out in October and more than 30,000 expected at Wildlands on New Years eve,” he said.

“Next year we welcome St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in February which has sold out with British pop star Charli XCX performing and popular rock and metal festival Knotfest in early March.”

Gates for Good Things festival open midday this Sunday, with tickets still available online.
