Adventure World recently hosted a group of travel advisors on a captivating tour of Rajasthan, India. Designed to showcase the region’s cultural and historical treasures, the tour unveiled a vibrant tapestry of experiences that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on both advisors and their future clients.
Immersed in Culture and Community
Beyond the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage listed forts and palaces, the advisors were particularly struck by the cultural experiences woven into the itinerary. Adventure World’s MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® (MTM) programs ensure that travellers connect with local communities and participate in the preservation of cultural heritage.
One such experience included visiting a local textile cooperative run by women artisans. Here, the advisors gained firsthand knowledge of traditional weaving techniques and interacted with the talented women who create these exquisite textiles. They further embarked on a unique culinary adventure, enjoying a home-cooked meal with a local family, offering a heartwarming glimpse into Indian culture and hospitality.
Another MTM experience saw advisors road tripping through the streets of Jaipur being chauffeured around by none other than the proud women of Jaipur, donning their vibrant pink e-rickshaws. The Pink City Rickshaw Company, is an innovative not for profit organization aiming to provide a new aspirational employment opportunity to 200 women from low-income households in Jaipur. These remarkable women not only master the art of rickshaw driving but also rise as equity holders and managers of specially crafted eco-friendly rickshaws.
