Jurlique is promoting agritourism in the South Australian region with the debut of its Handpicked Experience, an immersive journey through the biodynamic and botanical wonders of the iconic Jurlique Farm.
Agritourism, a sector projected to grow to $18.6 billion by 2030*, has become a key driver of demand, perfectly aligning with Australia’s target markets. Leaning into this growing travel trend, this new Jurlique experience invites guests to participate in hands-on botanical harvesting, explore sustainable farming practices, and a masterclass to create a personalised take home product.
Nestled in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, the Jurlique farm operates on biodynamic principles cultivating botanicals that form the foundation of Jurlique’s globally celebrated skincare products and is perfectly positioned to drive agritourism in the region.
To further elevate the experience, Jurlique has also partnered with local neighbour The Lane Vineyard, to offer guests a Chef’s Table dining experience. Designed to highlight the natural bounty of the Adelaide Hills, these experiences combine hands-on botanical harvesting, education in sustainable farming, and exclusive culinary offerings.
Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison commended the initiatives, highlighting its contribution to South Australia’s thriving agritourism industry.
“South Australia is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, exceptional produce, and immersive visitor experiences. This collaboration between Jurlique and The Lane Vineyard beautifully captures the essence of agritourism, inviting guests to connect with the region’s agricultural heritage and immerse themselves in the rich stories behind our world-class offerings.”
At the heart of Jurlique’s story lies the Jurlique Farm, a cornerstone of the brand’s commitment to purity, sustainability, and the lifeforce of nature. Every plant is nurtured by hand, ensuring that the integrity of the land is preserved while producing ingredients of the highest quality. This dedication to sustainable agriculture not only defines Jurlique’s products, but also serves as an invitation for visitors to see and participate in the process firsthand.
Cherie Hutchinson, Tourism and Farm Manager at Jurlique, described the initiative: “The farm is the heart of everything we do at Jurlique. This collaboration is a celebration of nature, craftsmanship, and sustainability—values that both our farm and The Lane Vineyard embody. We are thrilled to offer visitors a chance to experience the beauty and benefits of biodynamic farming in such an enriching way.”
At The Lane Vineyard, Head Chef Thomas Robinson has crafted a bespoke farm-to-table menu that incorporates ingredients grown at the Jurlique Farm. This seamless fusion of nature and gastronomy deepens the connection between the land and the plate. The Chef’s Table provides a serene space for visitors to indulge in multi-source meals paired with The Lane’s premium wines, offering a truly immersive way to savour the Adelaide Hills.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Robinson shared:
“The Lane Vineyard’s philosophy is about creating moments that honour the land and its product. Using Jurlique’s botanicals in our dishes has been an inspiring challenge, allowing us to craft menus that are not only flavourful but tell the story of this incredible region.
Thomas Robinson’s culinary journey spans continents, starting in Adelaide before taking him to Japan, Sydney, and back to South Australia. His passion for blending global techniques with local flavours shines through every dish, showcasing his deep commitment to celebrating the Adelaide Hills’ unique offerings.
