Two new members have been welcomed to the Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) board after the 48th Annual General Meeting held on 26 November in New Plymouth.Jacques Meyer from Cordis, Auckland was welcomed to a Platinum seat on the board, replacing Ross Steele from Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre who has completed a two-year term.
Vanessa Wallace was elected to the Gold seat, replacing Tracey Thomas from Conference Innovators.
BEIA, Board Chair Martin Snedden congratulated the new representatives.

Jacques is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group where he directs the commercial strategy for New Zealand’s largest hotel.
Vanessa Wallace is Business Events Manager at RotoruaNZ. She has been instrumental in reshaping Rotorua’s reputation and perception, successfully positioning it as a leading destination for high-profile events.
