Canberra’s annual Pride Festival SPRINGOUT has started its month-long festival celebrating everything LGBTQIA+. For the entire month of November, Australia’s most LGBTQIA+ friendly city will be holding fun and exciting events to celebrate the local community in all its fabulous diversity.
This year marks the festival’s 25th Anniversary with ‘PRIDE in the Capital’ hosting free and low-cost events such as their Famous Pink Tennis Bush Dance, a Rugby Match with ACT Veterans Rugby as well as multiple DJs, dance parties and drag queens of course.
Festival goers will have a chance to experience amazing talent at the Canberra Theatre, limited-time exhibitions, guided walks and workshops where everyone is invited to participate, learn and most importantly have a fabulous time.
Event Highlights include:
- 22nd November – Pride in the Gardens
- 23rd November – Out & Loud Rainbow Picnic
- 24th November – The Sound of Us: A celebration of community in song!
- 24th November – SpringOUT x QT Canberra Tea Party
- 30th November – One Night in Heaven: a special event to take you back to the 1990s and 2000 Dance Anthems
This festival affirms the pride, joy, dignity and identity of Canberra’s LGBTQIA+ communities through events and celebrations. You’ll find something for everyone which is one of the standout aspects of SpringOUT 2024, the diverse lineup of events will be happening until 1 December 2024.
