Lisbon has won the award for Best City Break Destination in 2024 at the 25th edition of the Star Awards. The award was received at a ceremony held in London, with competing cities including Barcelona, Budapest, Krakow, New York, Prague, and Rome.
With a mild climate year-round, excellent accessibility, and a diverse offering that combines culture, gastronomy, and nature, Lisbon attracts visitors from around the world for short stays.
According to Paula Oliveira, Executive Director of the Lisbon Tourism Association, “this recognition highlights Lisbon as a favored destination for UK tourists seeking a getaway, given the variety of high-interest attractions the city has to offer.”
The Star Awards, presented by Travel Bulletin, recognize companies, products, and services based on votes from travel agents and industry professionals. Categories include best destinations, airlines, cruise lines, hotels, travel agencies, and tour operators.
