Today, the Emirates Group’s workforce, a diverse tapestry of nationalities and cultures, gathered at its headquarters for the annual tradition of raising the UAE flag high in a proud tribute to the nation’s symbol of unity and strength.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group led the ceremony by hoisting the flag while the national anthem played in the background to honour the occasion.
The hoisting of the UAE flag was watched by employees from across the Group’s many businesses. Raising the flag on this day reflects the shared respect and admiration for the UAE, a prosperous nation and a global economic powerhouse for a myriad of sectors and industries, including aviation, all while safeguarding and preserving its strong cultural values and nurturing the capabilities of its citizens and residents.
Observed annually on 3 November, UAE Flag Day honours the nation’s founding fathers, whose visionary leadership set the country on a path of remarkable accomplishments, recognized on both regional and global stages.
