Tauck is excited to announce the expansion of its European river cruise fleet, with two brand-new, custom-designed riverboats launching on the Seine and Rhône in 2026. As Tauck approaches its 100th anniversary, the two vessels will offer a new era of luxury river cruising, with spacious accommodation, elegant design, and a guest capacity limited to just 130 guests.
Onboard, 80% of cabins will be 225 square feet or larger, offering more suites and larger cabins than other riverboats of similar size. Tauck will also introduce new 180-square-foot Category One cabins, featuring expanded bathrooms and no single supplement, continuing the company’s commitment to solo travellers. Communal and outdoor spaces have been thoughtfully reimagined to enhance comfort while showcasing the scenic beauty of the Seine and Rhône rivers. As always, guests can expect to enjoy the same exceptional service that Tauck is known for, from world-class dining to carefully crafted shore excursions and thoughtful attention to detail.
David Clark, Managing Director Australia, Tauck, said,
“We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our river cruise fleet. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we recognise the importance of remaining competitive in a rapidly evolving travel industry. This is an exciting step forward that showcases our commitment to innovation and excellence in travel. These new vessels are designed to enhance the travel experience and reflect our dedication to offering unique, memorable adventures for our guests. At Tauck, we believe that staying ahead means continuously raising the bar, and we’re excited to lead the way into our next century of exploration.”
As part of the exciting expansion, Tauck will debut a new 11-day itinerary in 2026, Bordeaux, Paris & The Seine, aboard one of the new riverboats. This journey will include three nights in Bordeaux, complete with guided tours, private tastings, and vineyard visits, followed by a seven-night cruise along the Seine. Guests will experience the cultural treasures of Paris, Giverny, Versailles, Rouen, and the D-Day beaches, with exclusive Tauck experiences such as a private early-opening visit to Monet’s gardens and a special dinner at a historic château near Rouen.
“We look forward to unveiling more details about these stunning riverboats in the coming months, including the exclusive itineraries they will sail, offering guests unforgettable experiences along the Seine and Rhône,” said Clark.
To celebrate the announcement, Tauck is inviting travel partners to help name the two new riverboats, with the winning names to be seen cruising the European waterways in 2026.
