From today, travel agents in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam will be able to sell Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK) fares via their Global Distribution System (GDS) on Qantas (QF) tickets.

Responding to travel agent feedback, the update offers greater convenience, faster processing and provides access to lower Jetstar itinerary prices on some fares, with ticketing support provided by Qantas and Jetstar industry support centres in Asia.

Evan Kruse, Jetstar’s Head of Sales, said this was an important change for agents in key Jetstar markets.

“Southeast Asia is a critical region for Jetstar and as demand for air travel continues to increase, we want to make it even easier to for agents to book Jetstar,” Mr. Kruse said.

“We know GDS remains the preferred booking channel for many agents, and so we’ve been listening to their feedback, especially from corporate agents, who have been wanting improved access to Jetstar fares in GDS.

“We’re confident these changes will provide a more convenient and faster process, and we hope to be able to extend this to more markets in the future.”
