Australian Regional Tourism (ART) is pleased to announce that the Adelaide Hills in South Australia will be the host region for the 2025 ART Convention to be held from 14-17 October 2025.
The stunning Adelaide Hills is just a short drive from the gateway of Adelaide, yet a world away in terms of offering world-class tourism experiences. The location provides an exciting backdrop for the regional tourism convention.
Joel Chadwick, ART Chair, says “Our congratulations to Adelaide Hills Tourism, the South Australian Tourism Commission and Business Events Adelaide for securing this highly sought-after national event. We are excited to be working with Adelaide Hills on delivering an outstanding programme for 2025. This is a region that anchors heavily into its provenance and nature-based products, historical towns and villages, all of which are supported by a thriving local community and a growing visitor economy, common themes heavily explored by ART.”
Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison says, “We are thrilled to be hosting the 2025 Australian Regional Tourism Convention in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Just 20 minutes’ drive from the CBD, this thriving tourism region offers world-class winery experiences, pristine nature and wildlife, iconic agritourism products including Beerenberg and Jurlique, as well as the charming historic German town, Hahndorf.
The Australian Regional Tourism Convention will give us another valuable opportunity to showcase all that the Adelaide Hills offers, including agritourism, wellness and nature while encouraging delegates to extend their stay and enjoy wider South Australia.
Tanya Jarman, Regional Tourism Manager, adds “Our region has gone through a phenomenal growth in product and industry capability. I encourage delegates to take a “spring break” on either side of the Convention to discover it for themselves. Being so close to a major city, the Hills is an ideal location for pre and post-conference touring, and aviation access through a major gateway. We are a region that is lucky to have the best of both worlds, where you can quickly retreat from a major city, or settle in for a long break”.
The ART Convention is regarded as the most significant annual event for industry, practitioners and government agencies engaged in regional tourism, anywhere in Australia. The convention is for all sectors of the tourism industry to exchange ideas about growing sustainable regional destinations and showcasing best practice success.
Supported by sponsors who share a common vision, the event brings the regional tourism community together to discuss, debate and investigate solutions to issues, challenges and opportunities facing regional tourism.
Save the date for the 2025 Convention, and join us for an unmissable learning and networking opportunity.
