IHG Hotels & Resorts successfully wrapped up its annual “IHG Run for Good” charity event at Vachirabenjatas Park (Suan Rot Fai) in Bangkok. The event featured three race categories—Walk & Run 2 KM, Fun Run 4 KM, and 9 KM—offering something for everyone, from casual walkers to seasoned runners.
With runs across Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui, the charity run brought together over 5,000 participants across the country, who came together to raise THB1.1 million baht for the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen.
Patrick Both, Regional General Manager, Luxury & Lifestyle, Thailand for IHG Hotels & Resorts said, “IHG Run for Good, our annual charity run in Thailand across three destinations—Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui—is back for the second consecutive year, once again bringing together our colleagues, partners, and customers to make a positive impact on those around us. Last year was a great success, and I am thrilled to share that this year we had an incredible turnout of over 5,000 participants and raised THB1.1 million baht for the Foundation for the Blind under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen, our 2024 charity partner.
The funds raised will support the visually impaired across Thailand through the provision of educational materials including Braille books and audio books. At IHG, we are committed to being a force for good, and this meaningful cause, which we are deeply passionate about, helps build a more caring and inclusive society.”
