Murray River Paddlesteamers is offering savings of 10 per cent for three, four and seven-night sailings aboard its famous paddlesteamer, PS Emmylou, from Echuca in Victoria from January to May 2025.

These cruises will be the last sailings Emmylou will make under her current, normal program before her charter with Travelmarvel begins in August, 2025 and the debut of Murray River Paddlesteamers’ new, bigger, five-star, overnight vessel,  PS Australian Star, which will begin multi-day cruises from Echuca next June.

Ther 16-guest Emmylou starred in the hit 1980s TV mini-series, ‘All the Rivers Run’, starring Sigrid Thornton, and is still one of the most recognisable and iconic paddlesteamers in Australia. Powered by a restored 1906 steam engine and totally refurbished with deluxe cabins and ensuites, the charm-filled riverboat offers authentic, all-inclusive journeys along the mighty Murray with stops to visit wineries, historic farm stations, indigenous sites, wildlife along tributaries and country towns.

Including the 10 per cent discount, twin-share fares in 2025 are available from $1620 per person for a three-night sailing, $2160 per person for a four-night cruise and $2780 for a seven-night journey.

Cruise fares include all onboard meals, daily shore excursions, selected beers and wines with dinner and soft drink, bottled water and tea/coffee throughout the journey and coach transfers during the cruise. Return V/Line train trips between Melbourne and Echuca are available from just $11 pp return or secure car parking at $30 per night.

Murray River Paddlesteamers announced last month that due to huge demand, it will offer two overnight riverboats for the first time from August, 2025, following a decision to keep current vessel, PS Emmylou, operating under a new charter with Travelmarvel alongside the brand new $6.75 million Australian Star, which will debut next June.

PS Emmylou offers a series of three, four and seven-night cruises on the Murray River from Echuca on the Victorian/NSW border. Each luxury cabin has a private ensuite, air-conditioning, WIFI and opens directly onto the paddlesteamer’s timber deck. Guests enjoy gourmet meals on deck or in the charming saloon, riverside picnics and a memorable campfire dinner on the riverbank under the stars. Each evening, PS Emmylou ties up at tranquil and remote moorings, allowing guests to experience the serenity and wildlife of the bush at night.

The 10 per cent savings on PS Emmylou from January to May, 2025, are available for bookings made until October 31, 2024.
