LU_Exteriors_02The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has successfully completed the float out of its third superyacht, Luminara, at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. This key milestone, marking Luminara’s first touch with water, signals the beginning of the final phase of construction, paving the way for its highly anticipated debut slated for July 2025. Following the float out ceremony, where Luminara’s dry dock was filled with water overnight, the yacht was transferred to an outfitting dock, where the focus will now shift to perfecting interiors and adding finishing touches to suites, dining venues, and other public spaces.

“The float out ceremony is a testament to the unwavering dedication and craftsmanship of everyone involved in the construction of Luminara,” said Jim Murren, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “Our ongoing collaboration with the team at Chantiers de l’Atlantique has been invaluable. With three yachts soon in the water, we remain committed to delivering exceptional journeys at sea, setting new standards in luxury cruising with unparalleled amenities and service.”

Luminara, derived from the Latin word for “light,” will measure 794 feet (242 meters) and accommodate up to 452 guests. The yacht will offer 226 spacious suites—including an array of larger suites—each with a private ocean-view terrace, alongside signature elements of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet, world-class dining venues, The Ritz-Carlton Spa®, a dynamic marina, and expansive public spaces. Expertly curated interiors by Chai Chapo Design, the internationally acclaimed luxury design firm, in collaboration with renowned architectural firm AD Associates and celebrated lighting designer DPA, will blend a serene color palette of soft browns and natural fixtures of oak, Calcutta marble, and leather accents with contemporary craftsmanship featuring rich red, navy, and green accents.

“After the smooth delivery of Ilma, Luminara’s float out and seamless transfer to the outfitting dock were completed with great success. As we look ahead to its exciting launch next summer, we are proud to continue our valued collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to deliver another extraordinary yacht that will embody the pinnacle of luxury cruising,” said Arnaud Le Joncour, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chantiers de l’Atlantique.

Embarking on its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean next summer, Luminara will also sail to breathtaking Asia-Pacific destinations, introducing The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first itineraries in this region. As the newest addition to the illustrious fleet, Luminara embodies the vision of redefining luxury cruising by offering travelers curated journeys at sea with the legendary level of service that distinguishes The Ritz-Carlton brand.
