Hong Kong-based luxury wine distributor VINOSOPHY, dedicated to connecting artisans with enthusiasts to create unrivalled wine experiences, is gearing up for its third-anniversary celebrations in January 2025 with a series of exceptional events. Highlights include a superlative wine-tasting evening and a sensational La Paulée-style dinner featuring 20 extraordinary French producers in November 2024, along with a bespoke gift trunk – Coffret Ateliers Drevelle – exclusively crafted for wine devotees ahead of the season of giving.
Through bold initiatives like the Bourgogne La Paulée-inspired post-harvest dinner and the stable of exciting, new-wave French growers he represents, VINOSOPHY founder Pierre Legrandois is succeeding in his ambition to revolutionise the Greater China wine scene.
VINOSOPHY was established in January 2022 as a wine company with a fresh, innovative vision. Promoting the philosophy that ‘great wines are made of great grapes’, it serves as a Greater China mentor to the wine world’s emerging talent – a dynamic new generation of independent wine growers who champion a minimalist approach to winemaking and whose work in family-owned vineyards is meticulous, precise and sustainable.
“We are thrilled to showcase in Hong Kong the dynamic wines of an energetic new breed of independent wine growers who deliver precise and sustainable pours that challenge the old-guard French producers,” says Pierre Legrandois, founder of VINOSOPHY. “Our ambition is to transform the Greater China wine scene and empower connoisseurs to surprise their palates with amazing new discoveries.”
Sybarites to Savour Fruits of Rising Wine Stars at Double Celebration
Held from 21-22 November 2024, the two spectacular VINOSOPHY evenings star superb cult and under-the-radar French wines, many of them from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. The first event sees the fruits of numerous top-notch Bourgogne producers, a coterie of grower Champagne houses, and key names from Bordeaux, the Loire and Rhône valleys, and Corsica poured in a Grand Tasting at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong Poolhouse (21 November 2024, 6 pm to 9 pm, HK$800 per person).
On the following evening, these vibrant names in the wine world will be serenaded at a not-to-be-missed La Paulée-inspired Post-harvest Celebration Dinner at The China Club, Central (22 November 2024, from 7 pm, HK$2,800 per person). For those wishing to savour both sybaritic soirées, a special package is available for HK$3,500 per person.
This magnetic showcase of storied wines reflects the splendid diversity of producers within VINOSOPHY’s vast cellars. Among them, Bourgogne’s dynamic new generation of Domaine Prieuré Roch, Domaine Bruno Clavelier, Maison Fang, Domaine Boigey-Frères, Domaine de la Commaraine, Domaine Darviot-Perrin, Domaine Edouard Confuron, Aurélien Verdet, Domaine Odoul-Coquard, Agnès Paquet, Domaine Thierry Mortet and Maison Antonin Cosnier.
Champagne icons include Jules Brochet, Siret Frère & Soeur, Nathalie Falmet and R. Faivre. Other stellar names are Bordeaux’s Vieux Château Certan, the Loire’s Domaine des Sables Verts, Domaine Eymin-Tichoux from the Rhône, and Corsican champion Clos Venturi.

Opulent Wine Trunk and Exclusive Gift Box Presentation Elevate the Festive Season
With the precision and immaculate timing characteristic of the great wines it represents, VINOSOPHY is launching two styles of gift sets for the festive season – a sumptuous 6-bottle wine trunk featuring Bourgogne Grand Cru and Premier Cru by Domaine Prieuré Roch, and a prestigious gift-box presentation for single bottles. Encapsulating elegance and distinction, both are ideal for year-end gifting.
Offering a one-of-a-kind wine experience, Coffret Ateliers Drevelle (HK$88,000, limited to 12 pieces) invites connoisseurs of the finest pleasures in life to indulge in Bourgogne cult wines and artisanal French craftsmanship. Each captivating trunk showcases six different bottles of Grand and Premier Cru from the extraordinary vineyards of Domaine Prieuré Roch and is crafted from gorgeous French ash burl in collaboration with VINOSOPHY partner Les Ateliers Drevelle, a living heritage company from the Cognac region.
Crafted by renowned cabinetmaker Christian Thierry Drevelle, the coffret features a beautifully etched gold-leaf map of Bourgogne by master art restorer Bénédicte Rousselot. Its solid ebony grip invites exploration, and once the Prieuré Roch bottles have been enjoyed, it transforms into a luxurious humidor, with mahogany maintaining ideal humidity for ageing prized cigars.
Each of the 12 limited-edition trunks carries a prestigious stamp of authenticity, underscoring its exclusive nature, and is dedicated to 6 Domaine Prieuré Roch wines of a particular vintage. For instance, the 2020 vintage might embrace bottles of Domaine Prieuré Roch Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru; Vosne-Romanée Le Clos Goillotte “Monopole”; Clos Vougeot Grand Cru; Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos des Varoilles “Monopole”; Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Corvées “Monopole”; and Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Argillières.
Top Recommendations for Festive Celebrations from VINOSOPHY
As the festive season approaches, a curated selection of exceptional bottles will elevate any gathering.
Champagne Siret Frère & Soeur “Réserve Perpétuelle” (HK$550) signals the Siret family renaissance and the emergence of exquisite low-dosage Champagnes. For years, their Grand Cru-quality grapes were sold to the likes of Krug and Salon. Now, fresh artisanal innovation from the brother-and-sister-led team sees the limited-edition bottling of a handful of cuvées under their own label.
Bourgogne wonder Agnès Paquet Auxey-Duresses Blanc “Les Hoz” 2022 (HK$350) is a pure representation of the winemaker’s decision to reclaim her parents’ vineyard in 2000. Expanding to encompass 13 hectares of vineyards across renowned Burgundy appellations, she works in harmony with nature to craft contemporary, fruit-forward wines that capture the essence of the terroir.
The top-tier Bourgogne pour of Maison Antonin Cosnier Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2020 (HK$1,500) is in the talented hands of a young winemaker who took over part of his family’s land in 2018. He manages it his own experimental way – adhering to sustainable viticulture, manually working the land, and focusing on micro-cuvées. Always surprising, his wines are poetic expressions of elegant minerality.
Bourgogne precision shines through Domaine Darviot-Perrin Meursault 1er Cru “Genevrières” 2021 (HK$1,350), the fruit of the marriage of Didier Darviot and Geneviève Perrin. The domaine has been producing wines from prime vineyards in Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Volnay since 1989, and moved to biodynamic viticulture in 2019 with the arrival of the next generation, their son Pierre-Antonin.
A vibrant Bourgogne newcomer, Maison Fang Saint Aubin 1er Cru Rouge (HK$1,100) is a labour of love by Ming Fang, who landed in the region in 2009 and founded his Meursault estate 8 years later. Every bottle encapsulates his passion and expertise, his Chinese roots and his Bourgogne soul. His generous, authentic wines bear witness to a harmony between soil, climate and artisanal know-how.
Hailing from legendary Bourgogne stock, Domaine de la Commaraine Pommard 1er Cru Clos de la Commaraine “Monopole” 2022 (HK$1,500) has been guided since 2017 by Denise Dupré and her husband Mark Nunnelly, who aim to restore to their former glory wines once loved by Thomas Jefferson. Under the watchful eye of Paul Krug, seventh-generation scion of the famed Champagne house, their clos is now divided into eight sub-plots to be farmed biodynamically and vinified separately.
The rich yet elegant Domaine Prieuré Roch Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Le Clos des Corvées “Monopole” 2020 (price available upon request) from its flagship Monopole vineyards is an excellent entry point to the domaine. Established by the visionary Henri-Frédéric Roch, who co-owned Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992 to 2018, the estate has transformed from a modest 0.55-hectare vineyard, Le Clos Goillotte, to an expansive 20 hectares. Its wines have great intensity and complexity, and have gained a cult following for their outstanding quality and honest expression of their Bourgogne terroir.
