Australian alcohol recovery beverage Dodge announces their distribution partnership with Amber Beverage Group, a leading global spirits company. Effective from October 1st 2024, the partnership marks a new chapter for both companies as they join forces to fill the market gap of recovery drinks that assists in preventing the negative effects of alcohol.
Founded by two mates with young families, Alec Balcombe and Braeden Leahy, Dodge’s first prototype was a
home-made capsule remedy of ingredients to tackle the dreaded hangover. The final formulation was developed as a functional beverage in collaboration with Monash University’s Food Innovation Centre in 2022.
Dodge is made up of more than 10 natural extracts and vitamins with the combination of these ingredients assisting the body to metabolise alcohol – reducing inflammation and nausea, all while replenishing vitamins and minerals that may be depleted.
The beverage which comes in a 200ml slim line can is designed to be consumed as the last drink of the night and is the perfect complement for end of evening kebab shop stopover. Dodge is scientifically formulated to mitigate the adverse effects of alcohol, providing a safety net for both planned and impromptu occasions.
A key ingredient in Dodge is Chinese vine tea extract, rich in dihydromyricetin (DHM). While other products in the category rely on Asian pear juice for DHM, recent research has found it to be less potent than first thought. While Dodge’s formula includes more than 150ml of Asian pear juice, the real effectiveness of Dodge comes from the entire formulation, led by Chinese vine tea extract, which boosts the body’s ability to metabolise alcohol and reduces acetaldehyde—the root cause of hangovers.
Dodge also includes other ingredients such as ginger to reduce nausea and red ginseng to counter inflammation, as well as milk thistle, turmeric extract, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and vitamin C.
Seizing a gap in the market, Dodge and Amber Beverage Group are ready to harness the growth potential in the alcohol recovery beverage category and empower consumers to reclaim their mornings; transitioning seamlessly from an evening of social indulgence to a day of productivity and well-being.
This partnership marks a milestone for Amber Beverage Group as they enter the alcohol recovery category. This collaboration marks a key step in our transition into a global growth phase. That’s why partnering with Amber Beverage Group, with their outstanding track record in growing innovative brands, is incredibly exciting.
