The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) announced it has received multiple awards for video communications campaigns. In their Annual Government Programming Awards, the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) honored SFO with the top awards in two separate categories. The awards program honors excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. NATOA received more than 1,000 entries submitted by local governments across the country.
SFO was honored in the following categories:
- Community Awareness (Operating Budget to $200,000)
- Award of Excellence for video on “SFO2GO” food-ordering app
- Event/Program Promotion (Operating Budget Under $200,000)
- Award of Excellence for “SFO: Inspiring the Extraordinary” video
Entries in the categories cover a variety of programming including videography, social media, use of humor, ethnic experience, community events, documentary, public affairs and public service, interview/talk show, performing arts, sports, election coverage and more. Awards were presented on August 28, 2024, at an annual conference, held this year in Charleston, South Carolina.
