Spread the love

Motel Mexicola Seminyak is calling party starters and good-time lovers to join them as they make history. On Sunday, September 15, Mexican Independence Day, Motel Mexicola is taking a shot at the title: the Guinness World Record for most margaritas sold in eight hours.

The shaking starts at 4 PM and in true Motel Mexicola style, goes till late. In the spirit of celebration, your favourite margaritas are 75k all night long – an omen for table dancing if there ever was one. Set amongst the mythological fit out of the venue that started it all, Viva Margarita promises an iconic night fit for Bali party lore. Think the same spontaneous, big vibe you know and love, dialed right up; the rare chance to be part of something so good, it lives on in the record books.

Never one to miss a fiesta, Benjamin Padron of Licoreria Limantour – #7 World’s 50 Best Bars, is flying in from Mexico City. The pioneer behind Mexico’s first cocktail bar, Benja has revolutionised the country’s bar culture with his originality and global experience. As the nation’s most prominent bar personality, Benja’s epic career has taken him around the world, spanning countless awards, guest residencies, places on the judging panel of the world’s most prestigious bartending comps and now to a Masters of Food and Beverage Management from the University of Barcelona. It’s his quintessentially Mexican approach to entertaining that sets him apart, the “my home is your home” charm. Joining him on the trans-pacific journey is his wife DJ Sussyoh who will be parking up for the evening behind the DJ booth with her signature feel-good, dancefloor-making tempo. Together, they’ll bring a dose of legendary, open arms party energy, CDMX-style.

Denny Bakiev, Group Beverage Director, will be up to his usual antics, ensuring every margarita is made the Motel Mexicola way and suggesting the right reposados in between. With support from Guinness World Records, Tequila Herradura, Bols, Corona and Mezcal Ojo de Dios, it’s set to be a party that goes down in history – and not just one of the urban legend kind. Rightly so, what better way to toast the motherland than a margarita-fuelled, Guinness World Record-making fiesta?
