SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites has launched a new experiential package for guests looking to immerse themselves in the essence of Mendoza, “Mendoza Through the Elements.” This unique experience invites guests to explore the region’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage through curated adventures inspired by the four elements: earth, water, fire, and air. Nestled between the unspoiled Andes mountains and the vibrant city of Mendoza, the luxury boutique hotel founded by Argentina’s renowned winemaker Susana Balbo and her daughter Ana Lovaglio Balbo continues to innovate in providing exclusive and immersive offerings for its discerning guests.
Blending wine, wellness, gastronomy, and culture—the cornerstones of the hotel’s hospitality philosophy—the package provides a profound connection to the region’s essence. Each natural element is brought to life through these thoughtfully designed activities:
  • Air: The journey begins with the air element, offering guests breathtaking aerial perspectives of Mendoza’s stunning landscapes with hot air balloon, private chartered small plane or helicopter tours. Hot air balloon flights from the eastern province offer serene, panoramic views of the majestic Andes and sprawling Mendoza, allowing you to float peacefully over lush vineyards and revel in the tranquil beauty of the landscape from an unparalleled vantage point. For wine enthusiasts, exclusive heli-wine tours provide an unparalleled opportunity to explore the region’s renowned vineyards from the sky, with landings at select wineries for private tours, tastings, and gourmet lunches.
  • Fire: The fire element is represented through an authentic Argentine asado experience at SB Winemaker’s House. Guests can savor the rich flavors of local gastronomy blended with the tradition of open-flame cooking, creating a truly immersive culinary offering. Guests will have the chance to try traditional Argentine staples like grilled provoleta, chorizo and morcilla sausages, and grilled top sirloin with chimichurri sauce.
  • Earth: The earth element is captured through guided hikes or horseback rides in Mendoza’s majestic mountains. Guests can explore scenic trails, connect with the natural beauty of the region, and enjoy the serenity of the great outdoors. For instance, the Mountain Horseback Ride Tour in Potrerillos Lake offers breathtaking views of the Andes from the Valley of Las Vegas, including the Potrerillos Dam. Hiking options include the trek to Cerro Dedos, a mountain in the foothills of the Andes, offering stunning views of the Tupungato Volcano, and the Veguitas Trek in Vallecitos, a mountain paradise with streams and vibrant flora.
  • Water: For the water element, the adventure culminates in an exhilarating cat skiing adventure at El Azufre, a remote region in the Andes renowned for its pristine snow and thrilling slopes. This experience allows guests to revel in the excitement of this popular winter sport amidst the untouched mountain scenery. Overnight accommodations will be for two nights at El Azufre Lodge and Cat Ski.
After days full of adventure, guests are welcomed back to their spa suites with an aromatherapy bath service as part of the package. Renowned as the first luxury hotel in South America with fully integrated in-room spa features, additional wellness offering highlights include vinotherapy treatments using local wine-based products, personalized wellness rituals designed by their in-house Wellness Butler and bespoke mindfulness sessions tailored to individual needs.
The Mendoza Through the Elements package starts at $5,500 USD per person based on double occupancy. This includes all of the aforementioned activities, a five-night stay: featuring three nights at SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites, transfer to Los Molles, and two nights at El Azufre Lodge and Cat Ski.
