Windstar Cruises - logoWindstar Cruises, the epitome of luxury on the high seas, is set to redefine the cruising experience by unveiling its brand-new ship, the Star Seeker. This 224-guest marvel, designed to exude elegance and comfort, will set sail in January 2026, offering travellers a fresh perspective on luxury voyages.

A New Standard in Luxury Cruising

The Star Seeker isn’t just another ship; it represents a bold step forward in small-ship cruising. With 112 spacious suites, 102 featuring a full private veranda or an innovative floor-to-ceiling infinity window, guests are promised an intimate connection with the ocean, creating a seamless blend between indoor luxury and the natural beauty outside.

Stijn Creupelandt, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Windstar Cruises, captures the essence of this innovation: “Our goal with Star Seeker was to craft a sanctuary at sea. The suites are designed as tranquil oases, reflecting the serenity of the ocean itself. With a palette inspired by the sea, sky, and surrounding landscapes, the atmosphere within each suite is one of pure relaxation, making it the perfect retreat for our guests.”

Exquisite Design Meets Unmatched Comfort

Every detail on the Star Seeker has been meticulously planned to enhance the guest experience. Light wood and a soothing colour scheme, blending soft blues, greens, and natural browns, create an ambience of calm and tranquillity. The ship’s public spaces, including five diverse dining venues, offer vibrant hues inspired by nature’s most captivating moments—sunrises and sunsets—imbuing every corner with warmth and elegance.

Among the 12 distinct accommodation types, the new Horizon Owner’s Suites stand out as the epitome of luxury. Located aft on deck 7, these suites can be combined with adjacent rooms, catering to multi-generational families or those seeking additional space. With wrap-around balconies offering unparalleled views, these suites are designed for privacy and indulgence—perfect for savouring a sunset cocktail or a private dinner under the stars.

For those looking to immerse themselves in the ocean breeze, the ship offers 72 suites with large verandas. The innovative 30 infinity suites feature windows that open halfway to bring the outside in, offering guests an extraordinary blend of comfort and the open sea.

Beyond the Suites: A Ship Designed for Exploration and Relaxation

The Star Seeker goes beyond just luxurious accommodations. It offers an array of amenities designed to cater to every guest’s whim. The ship’s full-service spa, accessible via a grand entrance from the deck above, promises to be a sanctuary for rejuvenation. At the same time, the state-of-the-art fitness facility ensures guests can maintain their wellness routines even at sea.

One of the most exciting features is the reimagined Watersports Platform, a hallmark of Windstar Cruises. This unique platform transforms the ocean into an infinity pool, allowing guests to dive directly into the sea from the ship, creating a truly immersive and exhilarating experience.

Global Voyages: From the Caribbean to Japan

The Star Seeker’s maiden voyage will embark on a transatlantic journey from Malaga to Miami in early January 2026. After a grand christening event in Miami, the ship will sail through the Caribbean, offering sun-soaked adventures before heading up the West Coast of the United States to Alaska for a summer season of breathtaking cruises. Following its Alaskan voyage, the Star Seeker will chart a course to Japan, reviving Windstar’s popular Japan itineraries, before exploring the cultural treasures of Southeast Asia.

For those eager to be among the first to experience this new era of cruising, Windstar will announce the full details of Star Seeker’s itineraries in early September, with priority booking available to Yacht Club members and travel advisors. The broader public will soon follow, securing their place on what promises to be one of the most anticipated ships of the decade.

Looking Ahead: Star Seeker’s Sister Ship on the Horizon

Windstar Cruises isn’t stopping with the Star Seeker. The cruise line plans to debut a sister ship, the Star Explorer, in December 2026. With this, Windstar continues to push the boundaries of luxury travel, ensuring its guests can explore the world in the utmost comfort and style.
