This deployment marks a significant milestone for the airline as it prepares to have its sixth A380 in operation by early 2025.

Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for this development, stating, “We are thrilled to announce that our iconic A380 aircraft will begin serving the Singapore route early next year. This aircraft provides our business and leisure travellers with an exceptional flying experience and seamless connections to our Middle East, European, and North American networks. It highlights Etihad’s dedication to optimizing travel to Abu Dhabi and beyond, ensuring more convenience and comfort for our guests.”

Introducing the A380 on the Singapore route offers passengers a flying experience. Etihad’s A380 is renowned for its exceptional comfort, luxury, and innovation, making it a preferred choice for discerning travellers. Economy passengers will appreciate the thoughtful design of the cabin, which includes 68 seats with four inches of extra legroom and 337 Smart seats featuring Etihad’s innovative fixed-wing headrests and large pillows for added comfort.

Business travellers can look forward to the opulence of the Business Studios™, located on the upper deck. These private suites have premium amenities designed with Armani/Casa, ensuring a luxurious and productive journey. The Business Studios™ are complemented by The Lobby lounge area, a perfect spot for passengers to relax and socialize during their flight.

For those seeking the pinnacle of in-flight luxury, Etihad’s A380 offers the First Apartments, nine lavish private spaces featuring designer tableware, leather chairs, and large ottoman beds. First-class passengers can also access an exclusive shower room, adding extra comfort to their journey.

However, the crown jewel of Etihad’s A380 is The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky. Beginning October 27, 2024, the airline will increase its flight frequencies to Thailand to 41 weekly flights. This includes three daily flights to Bangkok and 20 weekly flights to Phuket, one of the world’s most sought-after beach destinations.

The increased frequency of flights to Bangkok gives travellers greater flexibility and convenience when planning their trips. Whether for business or leisure, passengers will have more options to suit their schedules. The enhanced connectivity to Phuket ensures that travellers can easily access this tropical paradise, known for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich cultural heritage.
